Final Field & Barrier Draw – 2013 Warwick Stakes

The final field and barrier draw has been released for the Group 2 Warwick Stakes, which will take place at Warwick Farm Racecourse this Saturday August 24, 2013.

14 horses have accepted for a run in the 2013 Warwick Stakes, including Rain Affair.

Rain Affair has drawn the second widest barrier of 13 for the 2013 Warwick Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Nash Rawiller in the race.

The six-year-old will be having his second race start for the spring racing carnival when he runs in the 2013 Warwick Stakes.

His first-up start ended in success when he won the Group 3 Missile Stakes at Royal Randwick Racecourse by five lengths on August 10.

Rain Affair has won 12 of his 23 race starts and has earned more than $1.31 million in prize money during his horse racing career.

Hawkspur will be making his spring return in the 2013 Warwick Stakes, for which he has accepted.

The four-year-old has won six of his 18 race starts and has earned more than $657,000 in prize money during his career.

Hawkspur won his past three starts during the winter racing carnival, with his most recent being in the Group 1 Queensland Derby.

He will be facing off against the older horses for the first time since turning four on August 1st.

Hawkspur has drawn barrier three for the 2013 Warwick Stakes and will be ridden by jockey Jim Cassidy.
